Neighborhood overviewThe quaint village of Spring Lake sits along the shores of Spring Lake and is known for its quiet, peaceful atmosphere and beautiful natural setting. Once called Edmonton Beach, the area is now a calm, low-speed lake community that attracts guests who enjoy nature, birdwatching, and relaxing outdoor time rather than busy beach crowds. To help protect the environment and wildlife, the lake has a 12 km/hr speed limit and preserved natural shorelines.
Spring Lake is especially loved for its abundant wildlife. The lake is stocked with trout and is home to many varieties of waterfowl and birds. It’s common to spot pelicans, beavers, and other wildlife around the shoreline and on the water, making it a wonderful place for paddling and nature viewing when conditions allow.
Water levels have been low and unpredictable in recent years, and shoreline areas are often shallow and muddy due to the protected natural habitat. Guests typically enjoy the lake most for its views and wildlife, and visit nearby parks and beaches for swimming and full water access.
